Star Trek: Discovery Episode 13 in Season 4 was, as are all episodes, commentary on, an allegory of, and a metaphor for aspects of life in this reality on Earth. During the darkest days, when travail upon travail assail foundations, hope takes the form of open hearts and vulnerability that lead to strength in connection—a continuous dedication to connection between individuals, families, communities, worlds, galaxies in and beyond time. There is existence in the sublime.
